What personal data we process

• Identity details: your name and surname, and your ID or passport details where the law requires them
• Contact details: your phone number, WhatsApp account and email address
• Trip details: pick-up and drop-off addresses, date and time, flight number, number of passengers and suitcases, and special requests such as child seats
• Customer transaction details: quotes, bookings, payments and invoices
• Security details: the IP address and browser information recorded by our hosting provider for security when you visit our website

Why we process it

• To prepare quotes and answer your questions
• To make your booking and provide the transfer service
• To assign a driver, keep you and your driver informed and track your flight
• To handle payments, invoicing and accounting
• To meet our legal obligations, in particular passenger transport and tax rules
• To keep our website secure

Legal grounds

We process your personal data on the legal grounds in Article 5 of the KVKK: it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests, provided this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms. We ask for your explicit consent separately before sending any marketing messages.

Who we share it with

• The drivers and vehicle partners who carry out your transfer, limited to the information needed for your trip
• Authorised public authorities, when requested or required by law
• Our service providers: website hosting (Cloudflare), messaging (WhatsApp / Meta) and our email provider

These providers may have servers outside Türkiye. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are carried over WhatsApp's infrastructure; you can also reach us by phone or email instead. Transfers abroad are made in line with Article 9 of the KVKK.

How we collect it

We collect your personal data from the information you share with us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, and electronically while providing the service.

The details you type into the price form on our website are not sent to or stored on our servers. They are only turned into a ready-to-send WhatsApp message on your own device, and it is up to you whether to send it.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as the purpose requires and for the retention periods set by law. After that, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• find out whether your personal data is processed,
• request information about the processing,
• learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose,
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
• ask for incomplete or incorrect data to be corrected,
• ask for it to be deleted or destroyed under the conditions in Article 7 of the KVKK,
• ask for corrections, deletions and destructions to be notified to the third parties it was transferred to,
• object to a result against you that arises only from automated analysis of your data,
• claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.

How to apply

Send your request to info@istanbulchauffeurs.com or in writing. We will answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest, as set out in the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Applications to the Data Controller.
